Angelica St. John Out at Lexington TV Station

The Lexington (KY) Herald-Leader has reported that Angelica Christine Schultz, known professionally as Angelica St. John, has resigned from the news department of television station WLEX in Lexington, Kentucky. She had previously been the weekend anchor at Fort Wayne's WANE-TV, a CBS affiliate owned by LIN Broadcasting.

The Herald-Leader reported:
St. John, known for covering nighttime breaking news stories such as the 2004 Masterson Station tornado, was arrested for driving under the influence, assaulting an officer and other charges early Dec. 18. She has pleaded not guilty. WLEX news director Bruce Carter says he is looking to hire a reporter to replace St. John, as well as a reporter for the top-rated LEX 18 News at Sunrise.
The Lexington Herald-Leader had earlier published the details of the arrest and plea of "not guilty."

WLEX-TV is an NBC affiliate owned by Evening Post Publishing Company. The broadcasting division of the Evening Post Company is Cordillera Communications of Duluth, Minnesota.
